The Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, Annual Security Report is released each year.
The report is in compliance with state and federal crime awareness and campus security legislation, including The Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Crime Statistics Act and the California Education Code section 67380 and the Higher Education Opportunity Act (HEOA), and the Campus SaVE Act.
The Clery Annual Security Report requires colleges and universities to do the following:
- Publish an annual report every year that contains three years of campus crime statistics and certain campus security policy statements.
- Publish crime statistics for the campus and remote classrooms. The statistics must be gathered from campus police or security, local law enforcement, and other university officials having significant responsibility for student and campus activity.
- Publish timely warning notices where crimes have occurred on or near campus that, in the judgment of the Campus Safety Department, constitutes an ongoing or continuing threat to the members of the campus community.
The Campus Safety Department is responsible for preparing the annual report. The Campus Safety Department works with the Fullerton Police Department to gather crime statistics that are part of this report. The campus community is encouraged to use this report as a guide for safe practices on the campus.
